2011

Hello to all my fellow stitchers and friends,

What started out as an intention to write often – say every month at least! – has quickly dropped to once a year! Hence the date at the top of the page! I never seem to find enough time and inspiration to sit at the computer and get it going. Even on the blog, I don’t seem to get to posting very often!

But there is this: after a very busy 2010 spring, the inspiration gradually came back, and the interest and “oomph” if you will got going, and you can view the results on my design pages or on my blog site (the links are on the left.) There are five new pieces – something for everyone! I hope you like what you see.

There is one major change in my products: the sewing chests are now out of production. However, due to many, many requests for the top design of the Sarah Elliot Sewing Chest, the chart for that design alone is now available. The accessories charts will be available in a new format at a later date.

In addition to the new designs, I am offering a new class – Aunt Bea’s Sewing Box. It is a fabric-covered box (you build and cover) with five matching accessories stitched in coordinating colors – a thread book, a scissors/needle pocket, a scissors fob, a pin roll, and a three-inch measure. There will be some surprises included as well, which I cannot divulge or they wouldn’t be surprises, now would they! Click on the classes link to see a photo and description. Then talk to your local shop or your guild about scheduling a class. I think it would be great fun to bring this class to you - wherever you are!

Again, thanks to all of you for your interest and support. As you know, I do not sell from my web site or my blog. But if you have any questions or if I can direct you to a shop near you, please do not hesitate to contact me. I also ask that you continue to support the needlework shops that work so diligently to bring you the wonderful designs, fibers and fabrics that are out there for your stitching enjoyment by not copying designers’ charts to share.

     Happy stitching!
