This extract sampler is the third design element created for Abigail Colby’s Work Basket and its verse reflects her deeply-held philosophy which becomes a daily reminder of how she should conduct her life. Stitched over one thread and mounted on the underside of the basket’s lid, the sampler compliments and completes her beautiful needlework ensemble. Stitched in traditional cross stitch over two threads of linen and with the addition of a simple vine border and a charming, classic twin bird motif, the simple extract becomes a major work in its own right.

The chart pack contains graphs for both samplers as well as the complete instructions for finishing and mounting the smaller design on a basket lid, box top, etc.
